On July 20, Jiangsu Nanji Machinery Co., Ltd. and Yangzhou COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. conducted in-depth and friendly consultations on the "COSCO Shipping 210,000-ton bulk carrier ballast water management system" project and successfully signed a cooperation agreement. This marks a new chapter of friendly cooperation between Jiangsu Nanji Machinery and Yangzhou COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry on major projects.
On the afternoon of the 20th, Yang Feng, Deputy General Manager of Yangzhou COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., and his team visited our company to sign a cooperation agreement on the "COSCO Shipping 210,000-ton bulk carrier Ni-type ballast water management system" project. Chen Bin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Taixing High-tech Zone, Ni Zhizhong, Chairman of Jiangsu Nanji Machinery Co., Ltd., Ni Jianfeng, General Manager, and Ni Jilin, Deputy General Manager, attended the event. Yang's team first visited the company's workshops, exhibition hall, and party building museum, gaining a detailed understanding of the company's production capacity, quality assurance capabilities, technological capabilities, service support capabilities, and corporate culture, and gave high praise.
The 210,000-ton bulk carrier being built by Yangzhou COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. is one of eight series of ships under COSCO Shipping Bulk, mainly used for transporting bauxite from the Guinea bauxite mine of China Aluminum Corporation. It is the latest generation of energy-saving and environmentally friendly large bulk carriers comprehensively optimized and upgraded by the Ship Design Institute. Providing supporting services for the ballast water system of such a major project and standing out among numerous competitors demonstrates the company's extremely high professional level and comprehensive strength. Yang, General Manager of Yangzhou COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, and Chen Bin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Taixing High-tech Zone, and other relevant leaders all stated that this is a case of "accumulating strength for a powerful leap and a strong alliance".
The signing ceremony took place in a friendly atmosphere. Yang Feng, Deputy General Manager of Yangzhou COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., not only affirmed Nanji Machinery's achievements and excellent performance but also specifically praised Nanji Machinery's party building work. Chairman Ni Zhizhong and General Manager Ni Jianfeng stated during the exchange that they would make every effort to ensure the provision of high-quality products and thoughtful technical services to ensure the successful completion of the project. The cooperation signing ceremony was witnessed by Chen Bin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Taixing High-tech Zone, Chairman Ni Zhizhong, and other relevant leaders. The signing of this contract marks the market's renewed affirmation of the Ni-type ballast water management system developed by the company, further validating the company's innovative development capabilities. Since its launch in 2013, this product has been widely used in various types of vessels, including bulk carriers, tankers, offshore engineering vessels, chemical tankers, and government vessels. Users consistently report that the Ni-type ballast water management system is technologically advanced and rationally designed, featuring low energy consumption, no secondary pollution, no production of any toxic or harmful substances, and high reliability. It has been used in large quantities in key projects such as the 400,000-ton ore carrier at Waigaoqiao Shipyard and the 325,000-ton ore carrier at Tianjin Xingang, with positive feedback from ship owners. The product has established a unique advantage in market competition, and its sales prospects are very broad.
In the face of the imminent entry into force of the International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships' Ballast Water and Sediments on September 8 this year, and the huge global market capacity, we will seize the opportunity of this major project cooperation with Yangzhou COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. to further accelerate cooperation with large domestic and foreign shipyards and ship owners, integrate Nanji products into the global market, and strive to become a global leader in ship pollution prevention equipment.
