Antarctic Machinery wins the Gold Award at the (First) China Military-Civilian Dual-Use Technology Innovation Application Competition Gold Award at the Innovation Application Competition

On December 8, the (First) China Military-Civilian Dual-Use Technology Innovation Application Competition, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence, and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, concluded successfully in Taixing City. Vice Minister Xin Guobin of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Vice Minister Wang Li of the Central Military Commission Equipment Development Department, Vice Chairman Huang Rong of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Chief Engineer Long Hongshan of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence, and major leaders from the Provincial Economic and Information Commission, Taizhou City, and Taixing City attended the awards ceremony. Our company's Ni's ballast water management system won a gold medal in this national competition. After the awards ceremony, the attending leaders, accompanied by our company's Chairman Ni Zhizhong and General Manager Ni Jianfeng, visited our company's product exhibition area.

In order to thoroughly implement the deep development of military-civilian cooperation and the innovation-driven development strategy, promote the implementation of Made in China 2025, promote the open and integrated development of the national defense science and technology industry, build a social platform for the innovation and industrial application of military-civilian dual-use technologies, discover and excavate excellent military-civilian dual-use technologies, and promote and support the application of innovative achievements, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence, and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce decided to jointly hold the China Military-Civilian Dual-Use Technology Innovation Application Competition.

A total of 750 projects from across the country applied to participate, covering seven major fields including electronic information, aerospace equipment, marine engineering equipment and high-tech ships. From September 27-28, the participating projects underwent the preliminary round, selecting 300 projects to advance to the semi-finals; from October 30 to November 15, semi-finals were held in Beijing, Shanghai, Changsha, and Chengdu according to different fields. After fierce competition in the roadshow, our company's independently developed Ni's ballast water management system stood out, winning first place in the Shanghai division and advancing to the finals, and competing with its opponents in our city from December 4-8.

The finals were arranged in two stages, using the form of project roadshow and defense. The selection of judges for the competition was randomly selected by computer from the expert pool, and the order of the participating projects' defenses was determined by lottery draw by the project representatives.

On December 6, the first stage of the finals was held at the Haoting International Hotel. During the roadshow presentation, our company's Vice President Ni Jilin's concise and clear wording, coupled with the PPT presentation, impressed the judges. During the defense, Chief Engineer Zhang Baiqi and Engineer Jin Xing answered all the questions from the experts, gaining full recognition from the experts and judges, thus entering the second stage of the competition for gold, silver, and bronze medals.

In the second stage of the finals on December 7, our company's Ni's ballast water management system performed exceptionally well. The comprehensive assessment concluded that Ni's ballast water management system has a high level of innovation, obvious technological advantages, accurate industrial direction, reasonable price, large market demand, good socio-economic benefits, reasonable business model, and strong comprehensive capabilities. The final result was a gold award, the only award-winning product in Taizhou area, and the only gold award in the national marine engineering equipment and high-tech shipbuilding field.

On the morning of February 8, an awards ceremony was held at the Taixing Municipal Party School. Main responsible comrades from relevant national ministries and commissions, and relevant leaders from the province, city, and army attended the meeting and delivered important speeches. When the conference announced that the "Ni's ballast water management system" had won the gold medal in the finals, the applause lasted for a long time. On the award podium, Chairman Ni Zhizhong held the gold medal, unable to contain his excitement. All Antarctic people shared this exciting moment through the live broadcast.

Chairman Ni Zhizhong introduced the product's advantages in technology, market, price, and service to the leaders and experts. He said that this product has been authorized 26 invention patents and 18 utility model patents, and has passed various type approval certificates. Multiple tests have shown that this product has the characteristics of the lowest energy consumption and pricing cost globally, no secondary pollution, no production of any toxic or harmful substances, and safety and reliability. It fully meets the requirements of the Convention, reaching a domestically leading and internationally advanced level, and has unique advantages and development prospects in market competition. Vice Minister Xin Guobin of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Vice Minister Wang Li of the Central Military Commission Equipment Development Department, and Vice Chairman Huang Rong of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce expressed their praise and congratulations, sincerely saying that with Antarctic's strength, technological innovation can not only be used for both military and civilian purposes, but also for both land and sea. Chairman Ni Zhizhong said that the leaders' high hopes are the dreams that Antarctic is realizing. He invited everyone to visit Antarctic for inspection and guidance, and they would see for themselves. Applause rang out again for us, almost all the cameras focused on Antarctic, and almost everyone was listening to the voice coming from Antarctic. At the same time, many units expressed their investment intentions on the spot and conducted business negotiations.

II. Dream Come True: 200 Sets of Ni's Ballast Water Management System Successfully Rolled Off the Production Line

On the afternoon of December 7, our company held a ceremony for the successful rollout of 200 sets of Ni's ballast water management systems. Chairman Ni Zhizhong, General Manager Ni Jianfeng, company leaders, and relevant departments and workshop responsible comrades attended the ceremony, and Taixing TV conducted on-site interviews and reports.

When Chairman Ni Zhizhong announced the "start of the rollout ceremony for 200 sets of Ni's ballast water management systems," the overhead crane lifted the Ni's ballast water management system that processes 800 cubic meters per hour. At this moment, applause erupted, and flashlights flashed continuously. Everyone could not contain their excitement.

In a media interview, General Manager Ni Jianfeng said that our independently developed Ni's ballast water management system has received certificates from various classification societies and is currently making a full push for the US Coast Guard (USCG) certificate. We are expected to become the first domestic company to conduct trials and obtain a USCG certificate in the United States. With the official entry into force of the International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships' Ballast Water on September 8 this year, our company's research and development of ship ballast water management systems has made a major breakthrough. In November this year, it won first place in the semi-finals (Shanghai area) of the (first) China Military-Civilian Dual-Use Technology Innovation and Application Competition, and is currently sprinting towards the national finals championship. Currently, the product has received bulk orders from large state-owned enterprises such as COSCO Group and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Group, and has signed strategic cooperation agreements with foreign businessmen from Germany, Greece, and Spain. This marks the official entry of Antarctic products into the international market and signifies that we have entered the fast lane of development. We are ready to meet the needs of larger-scale production. We will carefully organize production and do everything possible to meet market demand.
