Antarctica Machinery's Ni-type Ballast Water Management System Supports the Second Generation
40 Construction of 10,000-ton Ultra-large Ore Carriers

11 Month 27 Day, at the final assembly workshop of Antarctica Machinery's new factory area, with the successful launch of the latest set of Ni-type ballast water management system with a processing capacity of 3000m3/h Antarctica products once again successfully supported the construction of the second generation 40 10,000-ton ultra-large ore carrier project.
2016 At the end of the year, Antarctica Machinery, in the face of fierce competition with numerous global competitors, won a decisive victory with its product's outstanding technological advantages, obtaining an order from Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard for 10 second-generation 40 10,000-ton ultra-large ore carriers with a total of 10 sets of ballast water management systems. The recently delivered system is the 4 set, and the manufacturing of the remaining 6 sets of systems is progressing rapidly as planned.

I. Product Initiation and R&D
2010 In the year, Antarctica Machinery decided to launch the ballast water management system project. After the project was initiated, the company established a specialized R&D team with strong technical capabilities. The company's technical personnel continuously tackled challenges during the R&D process, overcoming numerous technical difficulties and ensuring the successful development of the product. According to statistics, Antarctica Machinery invested over 100 million yuan in R&D for this system.
2015 In the year, after years of arduous R&D, Antarctica Machinery officially launched the Ni-type ballast water management system to the market. This product quickly gained market acceptance due to its advantages such as low energy consumption, good microbial inactivation effect, and minimal sediment. To date, Antarctica Machinery has delivered more than 120 units (sets) of ballast water products, and holds orders for more than 150 units (sets).
II. Product 8 Major Advantages
1 Physical treatment process, no additives, does not produce any harmful substances.
2 Modular design, suitable for various new and old vessels.
3 No restrictions on the salinity, turbidity, and temperature of the treated water, wide range of applications.
4 Energy-saving and power-saving, easy operation, low operating cost.
5 The backwash concentrate of the filter unit and membrane separation unit is immediately discharged into the waters of the departure port, with minimal sediment entering the ballast tank, reducing the amount of cleaning work.
6 Treatment during ballasting, direct discharge during unloading, no secondary treatment required.
7 The nitrogen in this product has an excellent anti-corrosion effect on the ballast tank walls, reducing hull corrosion.
8 Nitrogen charging and deoxygenation, preventing biological regeneration, suitable for both short and long voyages.
III. Fine Manufacturing
Quality is the cornerstone of the product. The company has passed military and civilian product quality management system certifications and has various experimental and testing centers 6 , with complete physical and chemical, metrological, non-destructive testing, and various product debugging and testing equipment. Currently, the Ni-type ballast water management system has obtained CCS 、 ABS 、 BV 、 LR 、 RINA 、 NK and other type approval certificates from various classification societies worldwide. It is expected that 2018 will obtain the USCG certificate within the year. At the same time, the company has a modern production base and a standardized production management system, ensuring that each Ni-type ballast water management system is stable, reliable, and has excellent performance.

IV. Quality Service
The company has a sound and powerful service support system and a well-trained, highly skilled, and responsive after-sales service team. Currently, sales companies, offices, and after-sales service outlets are located in coastal and river areas across the country, and maintenance networks are established globally, centered in regions such as the United States, Germany, Italy, Greece, Singapore, and Malaysia.
